Where did the time go?

Okay, yesterday it was August and Devin was getting ready to start school. Now it's February of the following year. WHEW!!! Where did the rest of the year go?
It really was quite busy for the Franklins. Things regarding my blog when downhill when my camera died. Finally got a new camera, but haven't downloaded any of the pictures yet.
Quick update:

Eric is now getting ready for TAKS. Please keep him in your prayers. He has been busy every Saturday in January & February providing "The Voice of UPWARD".

I have been very busy at work. After all, this is our "busy" time of the year. I also accepted a new position. My official title is Inventory Coordinator/Investigational Drug Services Technician. I have also dropped quite a bit of weight. (yea me!) It's been both a blessing and a curse since I've had to get rid of a bunch of my clothes. My pledge is to get new pics on this blog before the end of the month.

Devin is still a brainiac. She's made straight A's on all her report cards. She was the Captain of her team for the Battle of the Books. Her team placed 6th (out of 21 schools) this year. (they finished 15th last year) She is currently reading Brisingr, which is the third book in the Eragon series. She's also had a growth spurt because she's now tall enough to ride all the rides at Six Flags.

Deren is on the go. He walks everywhere. And he no longer has that "baby" look to him. He has 4 teeth (2 on bottom & 2 on top) He eats everything. Loves broccoli, sweet potatoes, carrots. He transitioned to the Toddler class at daycare. He has a great laugh. And he has been like a different kid since the tubes were put in. AMAZING transformation.

Okay. I'm going to close for now, but I promise to be better this year. And I will get some new pics downloaded this month. (ccf)

I am with you on where did the year go. I was thinking of Devin the other day knowing that her birthday is coming up. I can't believe that my sweet, smart kinder kid is going to be a fourth grader. She is such an awesome child. Thanks for being such sweet parents to me that first year in kinder. Congrats on the new position and weight loss. I think of you guys often and miss seing Devin and her dad walk in the bldg(since I have lived in the portables this year). Tell them they can stop by and visit me anytime. Take care
